As well as being the platform that brings together all the other sources in this overview, we provide a number of our own datasets: analyses and derived products that no external data vendor offers ready-made.

What Placepoint gives you
The data, and what it decides
Examples of Placepoint's own datasets are Growing companies (companies that grow by at least 10 employees or 25% at the same address), Ownership and Company Structure, Real Estate Transactions in the Media, Fire Stations Response Time, Main Industry per Basic Statistical Unit, Public Transport Density, Walking to the public transport stops, Retail activity and Mapped municipal plans. These form the Placepoint-specific layer on top of raw data sources and are a central part of the value we offer customers.
We make property easier to understand. Placepoint brings together property data from hundreds of public and private sources in one platform, so you can understand properties, prospect, analyse value, assess risk and manage portfolios.

How up to date is the data from Placepoint?
The table above shows how often each dataset is updated, which follows the source. Every field in Placepoint shows its source and date.
Can we use the data from Placepoint in our own systems?
Yes. The Placepoint API exposes the same datasets programmatically, and the MCP server makes them available to AI agents. You can export extracts and reports from the platform.
Does it cost extra?
The datasets are part of your Placepoint subscription. Where the source charges a fee for individual documents, such as registered documents from Kartverket, the price follows the source's fee.
