Placepoint

Use case: Risk

All the risk map layers for the same property, in one lookup.

Quick clay, flooding, landslides, ground conditions and pollution sit with different agencies, on different maps. Placepoint lays them over the same property, so your risk assessment becomes one review.

Frequently asked questions

What we get asked

Ask a question
Is this an approved risk assessment?

No. Placepoint brings together and displays the public map layers with source references. A formal geotechnical assessment must be carried out by a qualified expert.

How up to date is the data?

How often data is updated depends on the source. The matrikkel and the land register are updated continuously, while map layers and register data vary. The frequency is stated for each source in the catalogue.

Can I document where a figure comes from?

Yes. The source is shown on the data, so the figures can be checked in a report or a board decision.
