What the dataset contains
Ownership and Company Structure in Placepoint
Our compilation of businesses, their parent companies and NACE industry classification. The map layer shows parent companies coloured by the 10 most common NACE industries, and links each business to proff.no so you can quickly look up accounts, board and ownership history. The dataset is based on the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret) at Brønnøysundregistrene, supplemented with ownership data from the Shareholder Register (Aksjonærregisteret). It is intended for commercial agents, prospecting investors and analysts.
For commercial agents, the parent company overview is a key tool: a property owned by Norske Hydro or Storebrand has a very different long-term lease profile from one owned by an SPV set up for a single project. The NACE colour gives a quick visual picture of the industry structure in an area.
