From company to property, not just company
Enhetsregisteret tells you who a company is. We link it to the properties the company owns and leases, so you see both in the same search.

Brønnøysundregistrene is the government agency that runs Norway's central public registers. It is also the underlying source of all datasets on businesses, associations and enterprises in Placepoint. The agency is based in Brønnøysund, with offices in Narvik and Oslo, and employs around 480 people. Among other registers, it manages Enhetsregisteret (the central register of all Norwegian enterprises and businesses), the Register of business enterprises, the Register of non-profit organisations, the Register of Bankruptcies and the open Register of Beneficial Owners.

What Brønnøysundregistrene gives you
For Placepoint, Enhetsregisteret matters most. All datasets that show where a certain type of business is located use the address, industrial classification and status details in Enhetsregisteret. These include fuel stations, pharmacies, wine monopoly outlets, gyms, garden centres, furniture stores, building materials stores, shopping centres, fast food restaurants, hotels with restaurants, post offices and postal locations, grocery chains and variety stores. The same applies to Placepoint's own analyses of ownership and company structure, growing companies and main industry per basic statistical unit. A business that is not registered in Enhetsregisteret (for example the gym chain EVO) therefore does not appear in Placepoint, even if it exists physically.
We develop and run services that make dealing with the public sector simpler. Brønnøysundregistrene is a government agency under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries with around 480 employees.

Why Brønnøysundregistrene in Placepoint
Enhetsregisteret tells you who a company is. We link it to the properties the company owns and leases, so you see both in the same search.
Roles, shareholders and group structure combined into one ownership tree, from registered owner to ultimate owner.
Everything from grocery chains and pharmacies to growing companies uses the address, industrial classification and status in Enhetsregisteret.
We check the tenant overview for each building against Enhetsregisteret and add data from five sources every night, with the source and a confidence score for each row.

How to get started
We show you the data on properties you know.
Use an address, cadastre number or the map. The panel shows what is registered on the property.
The layers from this source are in the layer picker, sorted by category.
The Placepoint API and the MCP server give you the same data programmatically.
Company roles, such as general manager and board members, are public information from Enhetsregisteret and appear as such. Private individuals who own property are protected and appear as "Private person".
We mirror Enhetsregisteret and the Register of business enterprises continuously. The Norwegian Tax Administration (Skatteetaten) updates the Shareholder Register once a year, so ownership shares can be up to one year old. The dataset shows this.
Yes. Annual accounts from the Register of Company Accounts are in the company panel, with key figures and trends over time, and in the Placepoint API under /companies/{country}/{id}/financial-statements.
Yes. Filters let you search by NACE code, industrial sector, number of employees, year founded and legal entity type, and combine this with where the company owns or leases premises.
The table above shows how often each dataset is updated, which follows the source. Every field in Placepoint shows its source and date.
Yes. The Placepoint API exposes the same datasets programmatically, and the MCP server makes them available to AI agents. You can export extracts and reports from the platform.
