What the dataset contains
Parking in Placepoint
Car parks, multi-storey car parks and park-and-ride sites from Parkeringsregisteret, NVDB and FKB, coloured by operator, with symbol size by type. Filter by parking provider, park-and-ride and number of paid and free spaces, or find spaces with charging. The map layer appears when you zoom in to 1:100,000 or closer.
Geodata AS distributes the dataset. The underlying sources are Statens vegvesen, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Parkeringsregisteret, NVDB), and Kartverket (FKB).
For a developer, parking coverage in an area matters when assessing zoning plans: the municipality's parking standard often depends on existing capacity nearby. Part of our Transport and communications map layers. Related: Parking and charging, EV charging stations.

About the datasetElectric cars
Number of privately owned electric cars per 100 x 100 m grid cell, taken from Statens vegvesen's motor vehicle register and anonymised and aggregated.
About the datasetHow often is parking updated?
The update frequency follows the source and is shown on the dataset in Placepoint.
Where does the data come from?
From Geodata AS. We collect and quality-check the data and place it on the correct property, with source and date on every field.
How do I see parking on a property?
Look up the address in Fusion and turn on the Transport and communications map layer. The dataset has its own layer, and the details appear in the property panel when you click on the map.
Can I get the dataset programmatically?
Yes. The same data is available in Placepoint API and in Placepoint AI through MCP, so you can bring it into your own systems and agents.
