The dataset is based on data that broadband providers report to Nkom's annual coverage survey, and Geodata AS distributes it to Placepoint. Note that reported data can contain errors: buildings classed as having good coverage may have delivery problems in practice. The map shows which speed is offered, not who provides it.
For a housing developer, broadband coverage is one of the most important everyday indicators in sales prospectuses and target group assessments, especially in the home office segment. For a commercial agent, it is essential for office and industrial rental buildings where digital infrastructure is a basic requirement. Part of Placepoint's Infrastructure map layer. Where does the data come from?
From Geodata AS and Nasjonal kommunikasjonsmyndighet. We collect the data, check its quality and place it on the right property, with the source and date on every field.
How do I see broadband coverage on a property?
Look up the address in Fusion and turn on the Infrastructure map layer. The dataset is there as its own layer, and the details appear in the property panel when you click on the map.
Can I get the dataset programmatically?
Yes. The same data is available in Placepoint API and in Placepoint AI through MCP, so you can bring it into your own systems and agents.
