What the dataset contains
Shopping centres in Placepoint
All shopping centres in Norway, typically sorted by total revenue where available, with number of visitors, use area, sales area, number of employees, number of shops, number of parking spaces, ownership and contact information. Supplied by Geodata AS. Company details come ultimately from the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret) at Brønnøysundregistrene, and centre managers supply additional data on the centre structure.
For commercial estate agents, shopping centres are one of the most valuable and most analysed categories of commercial property, closely tied to visitor numbers, revenue trends and tenant revenue. For residential developers, a shopping mall is one of the strongest signals that an area functions as a town centre. Part of Placepoint's map layers for business. Related: Grocery Chains, Department stores, Fast food restaurants, Retail activity (Placepoint's own derived analysis).
This text is based on the dataset documentation, synced 16 October 2026.

About the datasetHow often are shopping centres updated?
Weekly. The frequency follows the source and is shown on the dataset in Placepoint.
Where does the data come from?
From Geodata AS. We collect and quality-check the data and place it on the correct property, with source and date on every field.
How do I see shopping centres on a property?
Look up the address in Fusion and turn on the Business map layer. The dataset is a separate layer there, and the details appear in the property panel when you click on the map.
Can I get the dataset programmatically?
Yes. The same data is available in Placepoint API and in Placepoint AI through MCP, so you can bring it into your own systems and agents.
