Sokkeldirektoratet (SOD, the Norwegian Offshore Directorate), formerly Oljedirektoratet (OD), is the Norwegian government body that manages petroleum resources on the Norwegian continental shelf. It was set up as Oljedirektoratet in 1972 and changed its name to Sokkeldirektoratet on 1.
