Metria is a Swedish geodata and GIS company. It supplies map data, geographic analysis and property information services to municipalities, public authorities and private businesses in construction, forestry, energy, telecoms, banking and insurance. The company was separated from Lantmäteriet as a limited company in 2011.

What Metria gives you
The data, and what it decides
Our published figures name Metria as one of the sources behind Placepoint's Swedish coverage. However, Combify's source information for property data points to Lantmäteriet's fastighetsregistret and Skatteverket's tax assessment classes (taxeringsklasser), not to Metria directly. The Norwegian counterpart is Geodata AS. Both are commercial geodata and GIS vendors that combine public and private sources into ready-made services for the property industry. Their histories differ. Geodata AS has always been a purely commercial company and the Norwegian distributor of Esri software. Metria started as part of a government agency, became a separate company only in 2011 and later became part of Spir Group.

How up to date is the data from Metria?
The table above shows how often each dataset is updated, which follows the source. Every field in Placepoint shows its source and date.
Can we use the data from Metria in our own systems?
Yes. The Placepoint API exposes the same datasets programmatically, and the MCP server makes them available to AI agents. You can export extracts and reports from the platform.
Does it cost extra?
The datasets are part of your Placepoint subscription. Where the source charges a fee for individual documents, such as registered documents from Kartverket, the price follows the source's fee.
