Lantmäteriet is the Swedish government agency for mapping, property formation and property registration. It runs the fastighetsregistret, the central register of all Swedish properties (fastigheter). The register has two parts: a property section and a registration section.

What Lantmäteriet gives you
The data, and what it decides
Combify covers all 290 municipalities in Sweden. Its property data comes mainly from Lantmäteriet's fastighetsregistret, combined with tax assessment values (taxeringsvärden) from Skatteverket. The Norwegian counterpart is Kartverket. Both are the national authority for mapping, title registration and geodata, and both keep the official property register that the whole industry relies on. The comparison is not exact, though. In Norway, the matrikkel (the property register) and the grunnboken (the title register) are two separate registers, both kept by Kartverket. The fastighetsregistret combines the two in one register, without the Norwegian split between matrikkelenhet and registered owner. This makes Lantmäteriet an even more central hub for property data than Kartverket is in Norway: one agency, one register, one point of access for both ownership and encumbrances.
Lantmäteriet is an agency whose task is to secure the ownership of property, make geodata available to society and lay the foundation for a well-functioning economy.

Does it cost extra?
The datasets are part of your Placepoint subscription. Where the source charges a fee for individual documents, such as registered documents from Kartverket, the price follows the source's fee.
