Income and wealth statistics, already linked to every property.
Detailed compiled breakdown of income and wealth per basic statistical unit, with the number of people in different segments by income, wealth and age. The dataset is more detailed than the aggregated averages in Income and Wealth, and supports more precise target group and purchasing power analysis, for example "how many households have an income above NOK 1 million

What the dataset contains
Income and wealth statistics in Placepoint
Detailed compiled breakdown of income and wealth per basic statistical unit, with the number of people in different segments by income, wealth and age. The dataset is more detailed than the aggregated averages in Income and Wealth, and supports more precise target group and purchasing power analysis, for example "how many households aged 30 to 50 have an income above NOK 1 million within 1 km of the plot?". Geodata AS supplies the data to Placepoint, and Statistics Norway (SSB) is the underlying data owner.
For commercial property agents and surveyors in the high-value market, the segmented version is often more useful than the averages. A few wealthy individuals can pull the average up sharply without reflecting the real pool of buyers. Part of Placepoint's map layers for demographics. Related: Property prices, Number of transactions (property).
The segments are aggregated per basic statistical unit, not individual data from the tax authorities. They follow the same chain and the same statistics year as Income and Wealth: the Norwegian Tax Administration's (Skatteetaten) annual tax assessment, compiled and published by Statistics Norway (SSB) and distributed by Geodata AS.
This text is based on the dataset documentation, synced 16 October 2026.

About the datasetHow often are income and wealth statistics updated?
Annually. The frequency follows the source and is shown on the dataset in Placepoint.
Where does the data come from?
From Geodata AS. We collect and quality-check the data and place it on the correct property, with source and date on every field.
How do I see income and wealth statistics for a property?
Look up the address in Fusion and turn on the Demographics map layer. The dataset is a separate layer there, and the details appear in the property panel when you click on the map.
Can I get the dataset programmatically?
Yes. The same data is available in Placepoint API and in Placepoint AI through MCP, so you can bring it into your own systems and agents.
