Basic statistical unit, not municipality
Population, income, wealth and households at basic statistical unit level, so you can read the neighbourhood around the property, not just the municipality it is in.

Statistisk sentralbyrå (SSB) is Norway's national statistics office and the underlying source of almost all population, household, income, wealth and business statistics in Placepoint. SSB publishes official statistics at national, regional and municipal level, and makes the data openly available as tables at statbank.ssb.no.

What Statistisk sentralbyrå gives you
For a property developer, population and household statistics are central to market analysis: who lives in the area, what they earn, what the age distribution is, and how this changes over time. For a broker, the same figures are the simplest way to support a price expectation and a target group in a prospectus. Many of Placepoint's own derived analyses (Main Industry per Basic Statistical Unit, Growing companies) combine SSB and BRREG data.
SSB is a professionally independent institution responsible for collecting, producing and publishing official statistics on the economy, population and society at national, regional and local level.

Why Statistics Norway in Placepoint
Population, income, wealth and households at basic statistical unit level, so you can read the neighbourhood around the property, not just the municipality it is in.
What you used to download as tables from Statistikkbanken and paste into Excel is now available as map layers and in the area analysis.
Age distribution, education level and purchasing power around the property show who lives there and who is likely to buy or rent.
Main Industry per Basic Statistical Unit and Growing companies are Placepoint's own datasets, built on SSB and Brønnøysund data.

The Placepoint API and the MCP server give you the same data programmatically.

Yes. For Sweden we use Statistics Sweden (SCB) at DeSO level, which is SCB's equivalent small-area unit.
The table above shows how often each dataset is updated, which follows the source. Every field in Placepoint shows its source and date.
