In a diverse proptech industry, one company stands out and may have found the key to succeeding in a challenging market – joining forces.

The proptech companies Placepoint AS and Propcloud AS are joining forces to become the market-leading analysis tool for property developers and a supplier of property data to the insurance sector and other credit institutions. The new company will keep the name Placepoint, and both services will initially be delivered to customers as before.

Both Propcloud and Placepoint have delivered good growth since launch and have both, even during a challenging period for the property industry, seen continuous growth. “We have been creative while standing firm in our strategy. With a product the market needs and an extreme customer focus, we have, despite the downturn, been seen by our customers as part of the solution and not the problem,” says Peder Sunde, CEO of Placepoint.

Propcloud has focused on other sectors within property information and analysis and found fertile ground in markets that have had a long-awaited need for the development of property analysis, insurance companies and credit institutions.

Under the Placepoint name, the companies will now work together to create synergies and make use of qualities and experience that will enable them to offer better services to everyone who needs property information and analysis.

“The need for precise and accurate property information and analysis is constantly growing in the market,” says Daniel Nilsen, co-founder of Placepoint. “Placepoint now has a very good starting point for accompanying existing and new customers on this journey.”

Placepoint has a total of 35 employees in Oslo, Sandefjord, Porsgrunn and Bangladesh. The company has combined annual revenue (ARR) of NOK 15 million. Placepoint doubled its revenue over the past year and is growing strongly.
