Placepoint has acquired Vogl and Speiz – the company’s third acquisition in 18 months. With the acquisitions, Placepoint passes 60 MNOK in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and brings several data sources and tools together on one platform. At the same time, Placepoint Leads is being launched, a new product for predictive tenant analysis.

Three acquisitions in 18 months

Placepoint has acquired Vogl and Speiz. It is the third time in a year and a half that the company has made acquisitions, following Newsec Maps and Hjemla.

Behind this lies a deliberate strategy: Norwegian proptech has been fragmented, with point solutions that address isolated needs. Placepoint wants to bring data sources, tools and expertise together in one workspace, so that property players have one place to go to make faster and more confident decisions.

Today Placepoint has 850 customers and 6,500 users, and operations are EBITDA-positive with 60 MNOK in annual recurring revenue (ARR).

What do the acquisitions mean?

With Vogl and Speiz, Placepoint gains access to more data sources that will be integrated into the platform over time. For existing customers, this means a broader data foundation for analysis and decision support as the integration is completed.

The acquisitions strengthen Placepoint’s position in three core areas: property understanding and context, prospecting and opportunity identification, and risk assessment and due diligence.

Overall, the acquisitions give Placepoint a broader data foundation and the financial strength to invest further in product development.

New product: Placepoint Leads

In connection with the acquisitions, Placepoint is launching a new product: Placepoint Leads. The product uses predictive analytics to identify potential tenants before they are actively searching in the market. Followed by targeted outbound contact to verify relocation potential.

Office vacancy in Oslo is between 6.5 and 11 per cent depending on the area and the measurement. In such a market, early insight into who is considering moving can be useful for landlords and property managers.

Placepoint Leads is offered as a separate add-on product. If you would like to know more, you can get in touch.

New CEO

Daniel Nilsen has also taken over as CEO of Placepoint as of February. Nilsen is leading the company into a phase focused on integrating the acquisitions and further developing the platform.

The road ahead

With the acquisitions, Placepoint continues its work to bring Norwegian proptech together in one place. The next phase is about integration: connecting data sources and tools so that customers get as much value as possible out of one platform.
