Finally! A CRM system for property developers

Property developers have lacked a CRM for their needs. Placepoint combines data with relationship management.

“We're replacing the C for ‘Customer’ with a P for ‘Property’” says an enthusiastic Peder Sunde, Managing Director of Placepoint. “It's high time property developers got a system equivalent to the one salespeople have had for years”.

The property is the object in the PRM system

‍“The sales and marketing department probably works like most other organisations, and the CRM tools they use do not differ significantly from anyone else's. We have taken this as our starting point, but rather than working with a customer, as you do in sales, property developers work with a property. In our PRM system, the property is the object. Apart from that, you will find much of the same methodology that many CRM users are already familiar with”, Sunde continues.

Build structure and keep track

Order and system are a challenge for many in our industry. Until now, there have not been particularly good systems for storing, categorising, collaborating on and sharing information about various aspects of properties. Many will be familiar with putting considerable effort into a potential opportunity only to discover that a former colleague did the same work a few years ago. In 2022, that is unnecessary and a waste of time that could be better spent on something more productive.

The solution that has been developed lets you set up projects in which you gather different properties. You can create tags on individual properties so that properties across folders can share the same tags and, with them, the same characteristics. In this system you can create notes, invite colleagues into the workflow, create tasks and delegate them. Together with the property information, map layers, 3D, demographics and other factors you already have access to, this gives you a valuable tool that helps bring order and structure. After working with this over time, you will have a highly valuable database with comprehensive and relevant information.

In PRM you can create folders and notes, and over time build your own database of valuable information.

Market-driven development

“PRM has been developed because the industry itself has expressed a need for it. Even so, it is always exciting to see how the market adopts new solutions. In a situation of rising interest rates, greater uncertainty and the prospect of reduced profitability, there is plenty of scope for developing new solutions that contribute to greater efficiency” concludes Sunde.
